ABOUT
Joule is a first-of-its-kind climate-positive, multifamily, infill project located at 4th & Olney in the midtown neighborhood of Bend, Oregon.When built, Joule will be the first large-scale, double net zero by-design project. As designed, the project is 100% carbon zero, has a negative carbon emissions intensity of -4.02 kilograms of carbon per square foot and achieves an 83% reduction in energy consumption over baseline code with an projected EUI of 6.73 kilowatt hours per square foot.

Further innnovations of the project included sustainably developed, financed, planned built and operated features such as human-centric design on density and providing high quality workforce housing for the community.
